To make the ebooks more appealing to your customers you can offer them incentives. For example you can offer your customer a commission every time a person visits your website through your ebook on your customer’s website. This will allow not only your direct customers but also customers of other people selling your ebook on their websites to come back to the source of the ebook, which is your website. The second benefit is that every time your customer brings in traffic to your website through your ebook, he/she would get a commission. Your customers can again employ the same strategy and allow their own customers to market the ebook, thus making the ebook viral.

To further benefit from your ebook, allow your customers to copy, change, and co-brand the ebook, which would contain a few ads and links about their own sites in addition to your own links. This will also help your customers to generate traffic for their websites. This is a proven strategy and should be employed.

Following are some tips for creating and publishing an ebook:

  The most important aspect of an ebook is the content.  Unless, the content is well written and interesting, you would find it hard to gain any credibility with your readers.  A well-written ebook not only conists of properly conveyed theories, concepts, and techniques but also includes proper grammar, spelling, and formatting.

  Make sure your ebook is protected.  Generally speaking you should disallow readers to use the "COPY+C" function with your ebooks as this would allow any ill-intentioned folks to completely copy your ebook and recompile it as their own work.  Disallowing the copy function is possible to accomplish with publishing in both EXE and PDF ebook formats.

  Customize the icon for your ebook.  Customizing the icon for your ebook allows users to easily pick out your ebook among the sea of other ebooks they may have on their computer, which may cause the reader to open up and read your ebook more frequently.  This is an extremely important factor if you have links to your website or affiliate links within your ebook.

  Allow resizing of the compiled ebook to the reader's preferred size.  Allowing your readers such freedom will make them more comfortable when reading the ebook. 

  Allow co-branding of your ebook.  This is a proven, successful strategy and gives your customers a large incentive to download your ebook and pass it on to their own customers.  By passing a co-branded book on to others, it allows your customer to also get exposure for themselves and their own business.

  Create an ebook with a search function.  This provides easy navigation.  Readers should not only be able to skip to any page in the ebook directly but they should also be offered keyword search functionality that enables them to search for a particular keyword in the ebook.  This is helpful to readers that have already read over your ebook but want to go back to review a particular section.  If they do not remember the exact page number of the section they want to review, they will be able to search for certain keywords they might remember contained in that section.  Having a search function will then make it much easier for them to find this specific section they want to review.
